Jason L. Budd
Jason Budd is acting Of Counsel for the firm, after practicing law with the firm as an associate from 2005 to 2011. Jason has extensive experience in all aspects of intellectual property litigation, including developing legal strategy, brief writing, presenting witnesses at trial, deposing witnesses, and presenting oral argument. In addition, Jason has prepared numerous patent and trademark applications for a variety of clients. Jason’s intellectual property experience also includes the drafting of licenses and evaluating proposed products for potential patent infringement issues.
Prior to rejoining the firm, Jason started an e-commerce company focused on children’s hearing and sight protection. Jason’s business experience allows him to understand first-hand the concerns of start-up and small business clients. “It is really exciting to work with small businesses to help them achieve their vision,” Jason says.
Jason’s legal experience further includes stints as a clerk and research attorney at various levels of the Michigan court system. There, Jason developed and refined his legal research and writing ability.
