Michael C. Pophal
Michael C. Pophal is an attorney Of Counsel with the firm. He focuses his practice on the procurement, licensing and enforcement of intellectual property including chemical, electrochemical, mechanical and electromechanical patents, as well as IP transactions including licensing, joint development, asset purchase, and acquisition. Mike’s comprehensive intellectual property management experience benefits Price Heneveld’s clients in the areas of opinions, client counseling, patent and trademark preparation, strategy, valuation, litigation, licensing and the negotiation of agreements.
Mike has global experience in patent litigation and has successfully managed and litigated many complex patent infringement matters resulting in preliminary injunctions and favorable settlements. He has also managed appeal, arbitration and mediation efforts. Prior to joining the firm, Mike worked for almost 20 years at Energizer Holdings, Inc., recently holding the position of Senior IP Counsel (CIPO) and Assistant General Counsel. Before going to law school, Mike was a practicing chemical engineer and designed breweries and chemical plants.
