Mark A. Twilley

Mark Twilley is an associate of the firm. He works with attorneys in the preparation of patentability opinions, infringement opinions, patent applications, and responses to U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Actions. Mark also works with clients to prepare and prosecute trademark applications and prepare trademark infringement opinions. Mark focuses his practice in the mechanical, materials science, chemical, and electrical arts with specialties in the automotive and optical fiber technology fields. His unique background in materials science and engineering provides valuable technical knowledge and experience for the firm’s clients. During Mark’s internship at Cannon Muskegon, he worked with single crystal jet engine alloys, biomedical alloys, and tested air melt alloys for quality control. While interning at Robinson Nevada Mining Company, Mark conducted metallurgical lab testing of mine and mill processed ore samples.
Mark’s past legal experience includes working as a law clerk at two Detroit-area IP law firms, drafting patent applications and responses to U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Actions relating to mechanical and chemical engineering as well as other disciplines. He was also a patent law extern at Michigan State University Technologies where he conducted prior art searches, drafted patentability reports, and reviewed current technology license agreements.
