Matthew Stark is a partner of the firm. While working as an architect, he discovered the legal side of planning, designing, and constructing buildings and developed a passion for the nuances of the legal process. He decided to develop his career path to incorporate his skills as an architect into his practice as an attorney. Now, Matt works with inventors who are passionate about their ideas. He truly enjoys helping inventors meet their goals in the intellectual property arena, and says, “I look at the facts, the law, and my client’s goals in order to help maximize value through their ideas.”

Matt has over 10 years of legal experience, including over five years of experience practicing intellectual property law. Matt specializes in mechanical technologies. His practice includes drafting patent applications, responding to office actions, participating in disclosure meetings, advising clients regarding patent strategies, and providing opinions regarding patentability and right-to-use issues as well as opinions concerning patent validity. He also has experience evaluating patent portfolios to determine value and breadth of patents and patent applications. His litigation background includes many aspects of intellectual property and commercial litigation, including motion practice, trial preparation, client consultation, written and deposition discovery, mediation, legal research, and coordinating matters with local counsel.
